Although not her birth parent there was never any doubt in Jennifer's mind about who would give her away. Ever since she was a little girl she has always told Mike that she wanted to walk down the aisle on his arm. And she did. My ex-husband was so miffed by this that he and his mother boycotted the wedding completely. They were the losers though.
Mike said that he felt a right pillock dressed up in all this gear but I thought he looked nice. Kind of gypsy like. Earlier in the morning he had been playing with Joe and Chloe and one of them (probably Joe) scratched Mike's nose quite badly. I had to persuade him to let the lady doing Jennifer's make-up to cover it over. A faint red line could be seen under his eye but that wasn't too bad.
