2nd August 1980 and less than two months after we met we married at Devonport Methodist Central Hall. It was a lovely service and this time quite well attended, even my mother wore a hat!
Our daughters all wore matching dresses and sandals and I couldn't afford a new dress for me so I wore my favourite evening dress. We were on such a tight budget that guests took the photos for us and we had the reception at home and then at the local pub.
Of the people you can see Mike's dad is hiding behind Mike and his mum is behind the tall girl at the front. My mum has the blue hat and is lethally armed with confetti. My Uncle Harold is behind her with dad behind him. Most of the other people are Mike's family and we don't know who they are!
